Game Rules
The game show will be held in the venue itself, as well as on Discord, in which we will have both an in-game and voiced emcee.Players can choose to either participate via the voiced stage, or in-game through the /yell function.
Joining the voiced stage is optional. For players who wish to opt out of this, the emcee will narrate your answers accordingly. We first start off with a round of introductions of the players of each team, before the first contestant from each team is set out on the main stage to play. The Buzzer Concept
▪ Upon hearing the question from the host, players will do a /random 2 in the chat. The first player to land on '1' will be the first to give an answer, mimicking the concept of whoever slaps on the buzzer first. In the event that both players roll a '1' on their first try, whoever who lands the '1' first will be first in turn.Gameplay (Faceoff Rounds 1-3)
▪ A question will be given beforehand, and the first player to hit the buzzer will have a chance to guess the answer to the prompt. The player will have then have five seconds to give an answer. A soundboard will cue the five second timer.
▪ A correct guess will result in the answer being ranked in points on the board.
▪ A wrong guess or the failure to answer (within the time limit) will result in the chance for the opposing team to answer.
▪ In the event the player guesses the highest scoring answer on the board, they can then decide to Pass or Play.
▪ In the event that the player guesses an answer that's not on on top of the board, the opponent is given a chance to answer. If their answer is of a higher point than the first player, the second player gets to decide to Pass or Play. If their answer is lower, control goes back to the first team.
▪ In the event that both players guess an answer that's not on the board, both players will be given a chance to answer in turns until they hit one on the board.
▪ The team that decides to Play will then answer to the question in turns, until they get a total of three strikes. If they get three strikes, the chance to answer will then fall on the opponent team.
▪ If the controlling team gets three strikes before all the remaining answers are guessed, the opposing team has one chance to steal the points with each member offering a potential answer, and the captain of the team decides what she/he considers to be a missing/winning response. If it is on the board the opposing team win the stolen answer's revealed points.
▪ This will repeat for a total of three more rounds, with one different player from each team heading out to start of Faceoff Round.Gameplay (Final Faceoff Rounds)
▪ Concept of the final round will be similar to that of the normal ones, with slight exception to 'Stealing Points'
▪ Instead of the standard one chance to steal the answers on the board, the control team has three chances to steal.Faceoff Rounds Point System
▪ Round One - Normal Points
▪ Round Two - Double Points
▪ Round Three - Double Points
▪ Round Four - Triple PointsBonus Points Round
▪ If a certain team is trailing behind greatly, a bonus point round will be awarded to said team, to catch up with the leading team.
▪ Prior to the bonus round, there will be a 10 minute intermission in which the audience members will get to answer a short survey pertaining the bonus round.
▪ The team nominates a player to head out to face the bonus round - a one minute point grab game. A question will be given, and the player will have to name as many answers relevant to the question within the given time frame.
▪ 1-3 points per correct answer will be given (depending on how much the team is trailing behind on).Winning Team
▪ The winning team will be the team that gets the most points at the end of the four rounds.
In the event that the player disconnects during the game session, the next in-line team member will have to improvise and switch team positions with the disconnected teammate.
